Medway’s annual Try Angle Awards event was held on Thursday, 2 July.  All young people nominated received certificates on the stage at the Central Theatre, Chatham and winners were announced.  The winners received a coveted Try Angle Trophy, a framed winners certificate, a High Street Voucher and a signed Gills shirt.

The Awards, which fall into ten categories, recognise the hard work, commitment, spirit and determination of young people aged 10-18 in Medway, some of whom have overcome difficulties to achieve their goals.  

Young people from the Medway Youth Parliament took on the co-ordination of the Awards and hosted the ceremony.

Nearly 300 young people were nominated this year, all with uplifting stories to tell.
